Follow Your Dream. Enjoy Your Journey. One Step at a Time.

For years, I’ve carried this simple mantra:

Follow your dream. Enjoy your journey.

I first read those words in a book Davis Love III wrote about his father. They stuck with me—quiet but powerful—through career changes, long drives, family decisions, and golf swings that either flew straight… or vanished into the trees.

But over the years, I started to understand that word journey a little differently.

It’s not just the path.
It’s the process.
It’s about falling in love with the work, not just the result.

I’ve met a lot of people chasing dreams—titles, trophies, or outcomes. But somewhere along the way, they stopped enjoying the process. And when you fall out of love with the process… you fall out of love with the dream itself.

That’s why I’ve added something new to the mantra:

One step at a time.

Because chasing big dreams without patience can break you. And walking the path without joy? That’ll burn you out. But one mindful, purposeful step at a time—that’s how you build something real.

Not every day needs to be a leap.
Not every win shows up on the scoreboard.

Sometimes, the courage is just showing up:

For the next round.
The next meeting.
The next quiet moment with your kid.

Even when no one’s clapping… you know it matters.

This blog, this course, this story I’m building—it’s not about perfection. It’s about presence.
About doing the work.
Keeping the vision alive.
And reminding myself, every day, to follow the dream…
To love the process…
And to have the courage to take just one step.

So whatever your dream is…
Wherever your journey takes you…

Just keep stepping.
