I’ve walked fairways around the world, coached kids with big dreams, and spent countless nights in the kitchen perfecting recipes passed down (and spiced up) across generations. But more than anything, I’ve lived a life full of lessons — sometimes hard-won, often unexpected, always worth sharing.

This site — MyJLStory — is named after my two kids, Jou and Leia. They are the heart of every story I tell. Whether I’m writing about golf, food, family, or failure, I’m writing with them in mind… and maybe with a little hope that one day, they’ll read this and understand how much I’ve tried to teach through doing, not just saying.

You won’t find generic advice or clickbait here. You’ll find:

• Honest stories about learning and leading
• Practical lessons from golf and cooking that apply to life
• The occasional burnt brisket, miracle putt, or parenting misstep

I created this space to preserve memories, reflect on what matters, and maybe help someone else who’s walking their own fairway, spatula in hand, trying to make sense of it all.
